Culinary experiences with
an emotional component.

We combine aesthetics and functional design to create a whole new identity.

Our innovative design concepts allow us to translate a love of food and company into surroundings that will bring the restaurant concept to life and appeal to guests on an emotional level. Our interior design conveys the brand identity in its function and atmosphere, right down to the very last detail. Whether creating a brand new space or redesigning an existing one, we combine contemporary aesthetics with historical context and develop solutions that interplay dynamically with their surroundings. In all cases, the focus is on people and their needs – we create differentiated zoning with clear visual connections and strike a healthy balance between the need for communication and the need to have quiet spaces to retreat to.

When spaces tell stories
that move people,
this forms a connection to the brand.

A few insights on Dittel Architekten

Traditioneller Sitzbereich im Enso Restaurant Stuttgart mit floraler Wandgestaltung und langen Holztischen.
Creating ‘third places’

Restaurants, bars and hotels are not just places to enjoy food and drink – they are vibrant ‘third places’ between home and work, places where people come together. We design these spaces as open, comfortable social hubs with a strong sense of identity. This gives rise to environments where people enjoy spending time. Places where the heart of urban life is beating strongly.

Digital innovation and design

Digital technologies optimise processes, shorten waiting times and create a comfortable, individual guest experience. For us as architects, this means designing spaces that facilitate digital interaction while creating a perfect marriage of atmosphere and functionality at the same time. This gives rise to a forward-looking restaurant that combines technology and design across the board.

Individuality in practice

Restaurants of the future will need unique space concepts with a strong emotional pull. We create holistic space formats that appeal to the senses and invite people to linger awhile. Spaces with individual stories, regional influences and authentic materials that bring the character of your location to the fore. This is because physical locations are becoming more and more important as a means of counterbalancing the digital, mobile shift within society.

The “Sphere Tim Raue” at the Berlin TV Tower

The iconic revolving restaurant “Sphere Tim Raue” at the Berlin TV Tower, situated 207 meters above ground, was carefully transformed. The goal was not to alter the heritage-protected site from the 1960s but to further develop it—as a fusion of architectural heritage, contemporary interior design, and culinary excellence.
